About PicUp
We didn't start this
to haul junk.
We started it because we kept watching perfectly good materials, furniture, and ideas get buried in landfills — and we knew the world could do better. PicUp is our answer.
How it started
One truck. One question:
where does all of this really go?
It started with a simple observation: most junk removal services show up, throw everything in a truck, and dump it — full stop. No sorting. No second chances. Just landfill.
We knew there had to be a better way. So we built one. PicUp was founded on the belief that responsible disposal shouldn't cost more or require more effort from you. It should just be the default.
But the more we hauled, the more we saw. Broken furniture that needed twenty minutes of work to be beautiful again. Scrap metal that a welder could turn into something stunning. Old electronics with parts that students were buying from overseas for school projects.
We realized we weren't in the junk business. We were sitting on a materials pipeline. And we started imagining what we could build if we treated it like one.
What drives us
The beliefs we build on.
Waste is a design flaw.
Most things people throw away still have years of life in them. The problem isn't the stuff — it's the system. We're rebuilding the system.
Community over transaction.
We're not just a service. We want to be the connective tissue between people who have too much, people who can build with it, and people who need it.
Junk fuels innovation.
Some of the most creative solutions come from constraint. Give a student a pile of salvaged parts and a deadline — you'll be amazed what gets built.
Every loop closed.
From your curb to a creator's hands to a customer's home — we're building a circular economy, one haul at a time.
Where we're going
The PicUp Roadmap.
We're not building a company — we're building an ecosystem. Here's how we get there.

Creator's Space — Junk Becomes Art
The best stuff we haul never stops being useful — it just needs the right hands. Our Creator's Space connects independent makers and artists with reclaimed materials from our hauls. Creators build one-of-a-kind pieces; we sell them through PicUp's platform. Every purchase traces back to the exact haul the materials came from.
- ✓Apply to become a PicUp Creator
- ✓Access reclaimed materials at low/no cost
- ✓Sell finished pieces through our marketplace
- ✓Every product tagged with its origin story
The Makerspace — Where Ideas Are Built
The endgame isn't a company — it's a community. We're building physical Makerspaces where students, creatives, entrepreneurs, and tinkerers can walk in and build something real out of materials that were headed for the dump. Tools, workspace, salvaged parts, and a community of people who believe waste is just a design problem.
- ✓Open to students, creatives & entrepreneurs
- ✓Equipped with tools and salvaged materials
- ✓Monthly maker challenges with prizes
- ✓Partnership with schools and trade programs
The bigger picture
Waste is just a resource
waiting for the right hands.
Imagine a student walking into a space filled with motors, wood, metal, fabric, and electronics — all recovered from hauls that week — and walking out with a prototype that could change their life. That's the Makerspace. That's the endgame.
