Privacy Policy

PicUp — Effective May 10, 2026

1. Introduction

PicUp LLC (“PicUp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website or mobile application (the “Service”). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please stop using the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Service information: pickup address, item descriptions, and photos you upload to receive a quote.
  • Payment information: billing details processed securely through Stripe. We never store full card numbers.
  • Communications: messages you send us via email or contact forms.

We also collect certain information automatically, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs, via standard web server logs and cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • To process quotes, bookings, and payments.
  • To communicate with you about your jobs, appointments, and account.
  • To send you service-related notices and, with your consent, marketing communications.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Photos & Image Data

Photos you upload are used solely to generate junk-removal price estimates and to support your service request. Images are processed by our automated systems and may be reviewed by PicUp staff for quality and accuracy purposes.

Photos are retained for up to 90 days after your job is completed or your quote request is closed, after which they are permanently deleted from our servers.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for explicit, illegal, or otherwise prohibited content. Any such upload will result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement where required by law. See our Terms of Service for full details.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Third-party vendors (e.g., Stripe for payments, Supabase for database hosting) who assist in operating the Service and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Crew & scheduling: Your pickup address and job details are shared with the PicUp crew assigned to your job.
  • Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of PicUp, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to you.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell your browsing data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Service may not function correctly without them.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at contactus@picupnow.com. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing, and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify you promptly in the event of a breach affecting your data.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at contactus@picupnow.com.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us at contactus@picupnow.com. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
